New website training programme for Uttoxeter businesses

We’re launching a brand-new in-person website training programme in Uttoxeter designed specifically for small businesses who are ready to stop procrastinating and get their website live - properly.

It’s called Website Kick-Start, and it’s built for real businesses.

Why we’ve created this

Over the past few years, we’ve spoken to dozens of local business owners who say the same thing:

“I started it, but…”

“I watched a few tutorials, but…”

“I just need to finish the homepage, but…”

…and then they get stuck.

So, as Holly was an Microsoft Trainer in a previous life (OK, about 20 years ago), we thought it was a good chance to brush off her training skills and put them to good use for local businesses.

What is Website Kick-Start training?

Website Kick-Start is a structured, in-person programme delivered at Web Goddess HQ in Uttoxeter.

It runs across three stages:

Strategy (Half Day)

We define:

• Who your website is actually for

• What it needs to do

• Why your business is unique

• What content you need (and what you don’t)

You leave with a clear strategy to help you plan your content and hopefully some myths busted so you can get ignore all those 'helpful' people giving you advice about what you should and shouldn't do.

Guided Build (Full Day)

Using our proven website framework, we'll help you build your homepage, create a core service page, structure your navigation, understand basic SEO foundations and add proper calls to action (what people need to do to work with you);

This is hands-on so you’ll need a laptop – the framework is provided.

Launch Clinic (Online)

We finish with a follow-up session to troubleshoot any problems and get you ready to launch. This is designed to make sure you actually go live!

Why in-person matters

We deliberately chose to run this programme in person.

Why?

Because we don’t know about you, but we’re sick of talking through a screen! And it helps you focus if you’re in person (no doing something else while you’re learning).

Oh, and it’s good to get out of your office/house and meet other local business owners.

Who It’s For

Website Kick-Start is for Uttoxeter and surrounding area businesses who:

• already know what their business does (if you’re not clear on this, you’re not quite ready)

• can attend both in-person dates (we’re not recording this – it’s live only)

• are willing to prepare draft content

• want structure and professional guidance to get their site live

This is not for anyone looking for a fully done-for-you service. We offer that separately.
