Charity website Design

Strategic charity websites to help you do more good.

We untangle complex content, competing priorities and multiple audiences to create accessible websites that help people find support, understand your impact and take action.

01

We understand Charities

Complex audiences.
Competing priorities.
One website.

Charity websites rarely have one simple job.

From service users finding support, to donors wanting to understand their impact, and funders and trustees needing evidence and accountability. Everyone arrives at your website looking for something completely different.

Add years of accumulated content, multiple internal opinions and an important launch of funding deadline, and your project quickly becomes more complicated than simply designing new pages.

That's where we come in!

We combine website strategy, content structure, accessible design and practical project management to keep everyone focused on what the website needs to achieve.

We have delivered everything from straightforward community charity websites to complex national projects involving organisational mergers, multiple stakeholders, extensive content and immovable launch dates.

02

What your Charity website must do

A successful charity website earns its keep in multiple ways.

Help people access support

Service users should be able to quickly understand what help is available, whether it is right for them and what they need to do next.

Guide different audiences

Service users, families, donors, funders, volunteers, professionals and partners all need different information. Clear journeys stop them getting lost.

Raise money & build support

Donation journeys, fundraising opportunities and partnership information should explain why support matters and make taking action straightforward.

Demonstrate impact

Impact figures, real stories, reports and outcomes help funders, donors and supporters see the difference their contribution makes.

Support governance & trust

Policies, safeguarding information, annual reports, accounts and trustee details may not be glamorous, but including them builds confidence and credibility.

Grow with your organisation

Your team should be able to add news, events, services and resources without needing a developer every time something changes.

03

Accessibility

Built for everyone, not just the able and the patient.

Accessibility is not a final check or an optional extra, It influences the structure, wording, design and functionality of the entire website.

We build with recognised accessibility principles from the start.

The questions charities actually ask.

Do you only work with small charities?

No. We work with organisations of different sizes. This can range from a focused website for a small community charity to a complex national platform involving multiple stakeholders, content systems and integrations.

We assess your audiences, content, functionality, decision-making process and organisational structure before recommending an approach.

Can our staff or volunteers update the website?

Yes. We build manageable page layouts and content systems, then provide plain-English training so your team can confidently add routine news, events, resources and other updates.

Ongoing management and strategic support are also available if you'd like us to take the stress of keeping your website updated off your hands.

Can you work with grant funding?

Yes. We regularly work with charities using grants and restricted project budgets.

We will explain what can realistically be achieved within the available funding and identify where the scope may need to be phased or adjusted accordingly.

What does it cost?

Focused charity websites start from approximately £3000 + VAT.

Most strategic charity websites fall between £4000 - £7,500 + VAT depending on the audiences, content, stakeholder invovlement, migration requirements, forms and integrations involved.

Complex national, membershop or multi-stakeholder projects typically start from £8,000 + VAT.

Our pricing includes a 10% contribution from Web Goddess against our standard project rates as standard and these are built into the pricing above.

Payment can usually be split into three stages or spread across 12 months to help your organisation manage its budget.

That's Us

Are we a match?

Whether you need a focused website for a community organisation or a complex platform serving audiences across the country, we start by asking the right questions.
