Proud to be a Living Wage Employer

With two new staff starting soon, Web Goddess was keen to show commitment to paying a fair wage for a fair day's work.


So, we were thrilled when we received our Living Wage Employer Accreditation just in time for their arrival.


The Living Wage Foundation's purpose is to ensure that everyone can earn a wage that meets their everyday needs.


On their website they state that:

"The real Living Wage remains the only UK Wage rate calculated on the real cost of living. It is voluntarily paid by over 15,000 UK businesses who have chosen to transform millions of people’s lives and raise the bar for what decent work looks like in the UK."

Each year the new living wage is set each October by the foundation and employers just like us then have until the following May to ensure that all of our staff salaries are in line with the new figures.



Why is this important?

We want to attract not only the best talent but also to make sure that our staff know that they are valued and that we are not taking advantage of this talent for the minimum wage. The Real Living Wage is also calculated for all employees over the age of 18 so there is no different banding for these employees - which we love.
