We’re thrilled to announce that Web Goddess is now officially accredited by the Good Business Charter, recognising our commitment to responsible and ethical business practices.
At Web Goddess, we’ve always believed business should be a force for good and that's why we love supporting charities, investing in education, and running a sustainable company that treats people properly.
So, it was lovely to receive our accreditation today and read these words from GBC Head of Community:
"Congratutions on this fantatic achievement. As the UK’s benchmark for responsible business, this recognition reflects your clear commitment to doing business the right way."
The accreditation covers ten key areas, including fair pay, employee wellbeing, environmental responsibility, ethical sourcing, and transparency.
This means that we:

Pay all directly-employed staff the real Living Wage, based on rates set by the Living Wage Foundation.

Use zero-hours contracts fairly. We commit to looking at ways to offer guaranteed hours so staff can better plan their lives.

Support employee wellbeing with clear, fair policies and don’t punish people unfairly for being off sick for genuine reasons.

Make sure employees have a voice in the business by including them in key decision-making.

Track and review data on equality, diversity and inclusion to identify where improvements are needed and take action to reduce discrimination or disadvantage.

Have an environmental policy that shows we are committed to reducing our environmental impact and improving our sustainability.

Be open and honest about how much tax we pay. We don’t take part in tax avoidance schemes, and have a transparent relationship with HMRC.

Clearly state our commitment to customers on our website, regularly collect their feedback, and share the results with our whole team.

Ensure our suppliers treat their workers fairly by following recognised ethical standards and regularly checking their practices.

Pay our suppliers on time and aim to pay all of them within 30 days unless a different timeline is agreed by both sides.
This accreditation confirms our continued commitment to these areas and places us among a growing network of UK businesses choosing to do things the right way.
